Practice Based Coaching Certification

Discover what it takes to become certified in practice based coaching

A Certificate in Practice-Based Coaching is not required to work as a coach, but it can be a valuable way to build and strengthen your coaching skills. Cultivate Learning offers a free, nine-month online, competency-based program that helps educators and coaches learn to implement Practice-Based Coaching (PBC) with fidelity.

Through the program, you’ll learn how to support educators in strengthening effective teaching practices, use the key elements of the PBC cycle, and build skills in responsive and trauma-informed coaching. You’ll also have opportunities to develop your coaching identity and philosophy through reflection and self-assessment.

Thanks to support from the Ballmer Group, scholarships are available for almost all participants who live in Washington state. Coaches in other states or systems may have other scholarship opportunities available.
